The Captain oversees the assigned section during service, ensuring excellent guest experiences, smooth restaurant operations, and compliance with Momofuku service standards.
This role leads Front of House team members, supports daily operations, and acts as a key link between guests, staff, and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise Servers and Food Runners during shifts.
- Ensure exceptional guest service and promptly address guest concerns.
- Monitor service quality, table management, and dining area cleanliness.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate menu updates and promotions.
- Support team training, coaching, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety, hygiene, and grooming standards.
- Promote menu items and support upselling initiatives.
- Assist with opening, closing, and daily operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of Food & Beverage experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and guest service standards.
Skills & Competencies
- Leadership and team management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems.
- Work Location: In person
