What You'll Be Doing

• Acting as a senior point of contact for UAE regulators (e.g., SCA, Central Bank), supporting licence applications, approvals, and ongoing supervision
• Designing and embedding local governance frameworks
• Ensuring full compliance with applicable securities, conduct, and consumer protection regulations, working closely with Compliance and Legal
• Owning the first-line risk management framework for the local W&T team
• Driving a proactive conduct culture focused on fair customer outcomes, transparency, and suitability/appropriateness of products
• Providing clear leadership, coaching, and succession planning for the local team
• Fostering deep collaboration with global W&T, Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Engineering

What You'll Need

• A degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in brokerage, wealth, or trading businesses within banks, brokers, fintechs, or other regulated financial institutions
• A proven track record in launching, leading, or significantly transforming a retail brokerage or wealth platform
• Knowledge of retail trading and investment products (equities, ETFs, fixed income, etc.) and the full trading lifecycle (onboarding, funding, order capture, settlement, client servicing, etc.)
• Expertise in best execution practices, client order handling, suitability/appropriateness, and product governance
• Experience engaging with regulators, including responding to queries, inspections, and remediation
• Experience working closely with product and engineering teams in a digital/platform environment
• Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence senior leaders
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to make data-driven decisions in a fast-growing environment
• Nice to have
• Knowledge of relevant UAE securities and conduct regulatory frameworks
• Experience in the UAE/GCC in a top-tier wealth and trading firm, investment bank, or brokerage
