Role Purpose

A leading financial institution in the Middle East is seeking a Technology, Data & Digital leader to drive the Asset Management business's technology strategy, digital transformation, and data agenda.

The role will be responsible for identifying innovation opportunities, enhancing operational efficiency, modernizing core platforms, and ensuring the effective adoption of technology and data capabilities to support business growth and client outcomes.

The successful candidate will act as a strategic advisor to senior management, translating business objectives into technology, data, and digital initiatives while ensuring alignment with regulatory and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Asset Management technology, data, and digital strategy and roadmap.
  • Lead the modernization and optimization of core Asset Management platforms, including Portfolio Management Systems (PMS), data platforms, client reporting, and investment operations systems.
  • Identify and implement emerging technologies, including AI, automation, digital assets, asset pooling, and tokenization, where relevant.
  • Establish data governance, data quality, and analytics frameworks to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Drive operational efficiency through technology enablement, process automation, and digital solutions.
  • Define and monitor technology, digital adoption, and data-related KPIs.
  • Partner with investment, operations, risk, compliance, and technology stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives.
  • Manage technology vendors and external partners to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, cybersecurity considerations, and regulatory developments impacting Asset Management.
  • Develop and maintain technology, data, and digital policies, standards, and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in technology, digital transformation, data management, or enterprise architecture within Asset Management, Wealth Management, Banking, or Financial Services.
  • Strong understanding of Asset Management operating models, investment systems, and data platforms.
  • Experience with Portfolio Management Systems (PMS), data governance, analytics, digital platforms, and enterprise architecture.
  • Knowledge of AI, automation, asset pooling, tokenization, and emerging financial technologies is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to lead transformation initiatives and manage cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and change management skills.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications are advantageous.
