Overview
The Head of Sales – Middle East & Africa will lead the regional commercial strategy, driving revenue growth, expanding strategic client relationships, and strengthening market presence across the Middle East and Africa.
The role will be responsible for overseeing business development, key account management, and regional sales expansion across established GCC markets and high-growth African regions.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in positioning the organization as a strategic partner within the oil & gas and energy ecosystem.
Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Define and execute the regional sales and commercial growth strategy across Middle East and Africa.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth through new client acquisition and account expansion initiatives.
- Identify and convert high-value business opportunities across oil & gas operators, EPC contractors, and energy service providers.
- Develop strategic plans to expand market share and strengthen regional positioning.
- Monitor sales performance and ensure achievement of revenue and profitability targets.
Business Development & Deal Execution
- Lead the complete sales lifecycle from opportunity identification through negotiation and contract closure.
- Secure long-term framework agreements and multi-country service contracts.
- Build and maintain a strong regional pipeline across GCC and African markets.
- Develop commercial proposals, pricing strategies, and contract negotiation plans.
- Drive strategic partnerships and commercial engagements within the energy sector.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key stakeholders across National Oil Companies (NOCs),
- International Oil Companies (IOCs), EPC contractors, and energy clients.
- Position the organization as a strategic workforce and energy services partner across major projects.
- Lead high-level client meetings, presentations, negotiations, and commercial discussions.
- Ensure strong client satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnership development.
Regional Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Lead and mentor regional sales and business development teams across multiple geographies.
- Work closely with operations, recruitment, delivery, and support teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Align commercial objectives with operational capabilities and regional business priorities.
- Support internal collaboration across departments to improve responsiveness and service delivery.
Market Intelligence & Regional Expansion
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, project pipelines, and industry developments across Middle East and Africa.
- Identify emerging sectors, countries, and growth opportunities within the energy ecosystem.
- Analyze market conditions and provide strategic insights to senior leadership.
- Support expansion into new regional markets and client segments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or related discipline.
- MBA or relevant commercial qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum 12–18 years of experience in Oil & Gas B2B sales and commercial leadership roles.
- Proven track record within: Workforce solutions and manpower services, OR
- EPC, oilfield services, energy services, or industrial services sectors.
- Strong experience managing Middle East markets, with Africa exposure preferred.
- Demonstrated success closing large-scale, multi-country service agreements and strategic contracts.
- Experience working with offshore and onshore project environments is highly preferred.
Industry Knowledge & Network
- Strong relationships with key industry stakeholders including ADNOC, Aramco, QatarEnergy, EPC contractors, and major energy service providers.
- Deep understanding of workforce requirements within oil & gas, EPC, and industrial projects.
- Strong awareness of regional energy market dynamics and project cycles.
- Established professional network across Middle East and African energy sectors.
