métier - Strategic HR Solutions is hiring for our client, a leading insurance organization in the UAE, for the position of Head of Risk.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, regulatory compliance, risk governance, and strategic risk oversight across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework across the organization
- Oversee risk governance, risk appetite, ORSA, and capital management activities
- Prepare and present risk reports to the Board and Risk Committee
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory requirements and risk management standards
- Provide oversight across underwriting, operational, market, credit, liquidity, and strategic risks
- Drive a strong risk culture and lead the Risk Management function
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in insurance, reinsurance, financial services, or risk consulting
- Minimum 5 years in a senior risk leadership role
- Strong expertise in ERM, ORSA, risk governance, and capital management
- Sound knowledge of UAE insurance regulations and governance requirements
- Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, CFA, FIA, FSA, or CERA are preferred
