Head of Product & Engineering

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the product roadmap based on customer value, business goals, and delivery capacity.
• Lead discovery and turn ideas into briefs, specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Define scope, technical dependencies, milestones, and release plans with design and engineering.
• Lead delivery, unblock the team, and make scope, quality, and timing trade-offs.
• Review engineering proposals involving APIs, integrations, data flows, and asynchronous processing.
• Set release readiness, coordinate QA and acceptance testing, and address launch issues.
• Use measurable success criteria, customer feedback, analytics, and experiments to improve product outcomes.
• Establish documentation, ownership, and reporting; help recruit, coach, and develop the team.

Required qualifications

• Own a software product from discovery and requirements through engineering delivery and launch.
• Have experience leading software engineers and collaborating with design, QA, and business stakeholders.
• Bring strong technical foundations from software engineering, technical product leadership, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Discuss architecture, APIs, integrations, databases, reliability, and technical debt and make informed trade-offs.
• Have shipped production SaaS or digital products with measurable outcomes.
• Demonstrate strong written requirements, prioritization, communication, and independent follow-through.
• Have professional written and spoken English.
• Be willing to work full-time from the Dubai office, relocating if needed.

• AI-powered SaaS, creative tools, video products, or media workflows.
• Model API integrations, background jobs, and production AI workflows.
• Product analytics, customer discovery, and experimentation.
• Early-stage startups, personally building delivery processes and scaling teams.
