Head of Operations (Custody)- clearing and settlement

As Head of Operations, you will be responsible for end-to-end custody operations of traditional and digital securities (equities, bonds, funds).
The day-to-day management will involve trade settlement, asset servicing and safekeeping of digital securities for a diverse portfolio.
Experience and Skills Requirement
- 8 -10 years’ expertise in custody operations in a global bank or CSD, of which 5 years in a senior managerial role.
- In-depth understanding of global clearing and settlement, custody operations, corporate action processing and asset servicing (Euroclear, Clearstream, DTCC)
- Thorough knowledge of clearing, settlement and custody operations across asset classes
- Good knowledge of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), asset tokenisation, keys and wallet management
- Sound understanding of financial markets and products, exchange operations and global regulatory requirements
- Preferably having exposure to technology platforms such as Fireblocks, Bitgo, DFNS
- Deep understanding of FATCA, CRS, WHT (Withholding Tax) and VAT requirements
- In-depth knowledge of SWIFT processing and messaging standards
- Managing client assets and reconciliation
- Good knowledge of client onboarding, KYC requirements and KYT (Chainalysis, Elliptic)
- Functioned as an “Approved Person” in an international regulatory jurisdiction (preferably)
- Regulatory reporting.
Qualification and Personal Attributes
- Master’s (preferably) or Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics or Business Administration, a Chartered Accountant or Chartered Financial Analyst, or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Managing a diverse team
- Strategic thinker, problem solver, hands-on, team player and ability to handle stress.
