ORGANISATION UNIT: HERMES MIDDLE EAST LLC

SCOPE OF JOB: The Head of Hard Luxury is responsible for partnering with the Store Manager to

successfully run all aspects of the business in his/her departments including building sales, team

management, identifying opportunities and client development via CRM and services initiatives

and operations.

Responsibilities

  • People development and team management
  • Conducting interviews and participating to the recruitment of the team.
  • Daily supervision of the team (coaching, training, organizing morning briefs and assisting
  • in achieving sales objectives).
  • Being able to assess the team members and identify talents among the team members
  • and conduct development plan/improvement plan when needed.
  • Conducting monthly touch-base meetings and Annual Performance Evaluations.
  • Lead sales staff of his section hand in hand with the team leader and indirectly the rest
  • of the team in the absence of the other Floor Managers.
  • Motivate teams, create a sense of team spirit, discipline and mutual respect, as well as
  • dedication and loyalty to the company, recognize individual and team efforts.
  • Sales and Service
  • Demonstrates an active management presence on the sales floor (manager on duty
  • MOD coverage).
  • Delivering exceptional service and ensuring all team members embody the Hermes
  • spirit.
  • Identifying sales opportunities for his/her section by weekly review of business by métier,
  • tracking delivery and special orders.
  • Responsible for achieving the sales goal for the year for his/her section.
  • Communicates CRM standards, follows up daily for associate compliance and to
  • maximize quality of client capture rate and detailed information.
  • Making critical client decisions and running business during Store Director visits to
  • Podium/Paris.

Operations

  • Ensures policy and procedure is clearly communicated to team and all are actively
  • compliant.
  • Complete the Daily Sales Report accurately with qualitative feedback when required.
  • Ensure and anticipate proper schedule needs for the team. Keep accurate record of
  • vacation, public holidays, and attendance in partnership with Sales and Service Support
  • team and HR.
  • Supports Sales and Service Support function and Stock Management function.
  • Product management
  • In charge of several métiers/product categories in terms of sales, visual merchandising,
  • inventory control, training, etc.
  • Be responsible for market updates and give buying advice to store manager.
  • Partner with VM team to highlight business needs.
  • Responsible for maintaining stock levels in all métiers, MOS, and sell through.

Measures Of Success

  • Successfully leads the assigned Métiers.
  • Develops and coaches the team to deliver excellent service and results.
  • Achieves business results of the department and overall stores.

Experience

  • Prior management experience in luxury retail/ retail is essential.
  • 4 + years in Retail or related experience.
  • Must possess basic office skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Cegid.
  • Ability to interpret sales data and translate to effective business.
  • recommendations/action plan.
  • Clear written verbal communication skills.
  • “Hands on” Manager, leading by example, with strong leadership skills.
