Role Responsibilities
- Work with operations to structure efficient pipelines across environments, manipulation tasks, and data diversity.
- Work with hardware teams to design vertically integrated hardware for high-quality data collection.
- Own human and automated quality-control and annotation pipelines.
- Manage and scale annotation talent and determine where humans or machines are preferable.
- Develop models for quality assurance, annotation, 3D pose reconstruction, SLAM, and related components.
- Build an end-to-end pipeline optimized for throughput, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Develop benchmarks and metrics to evaluate data quality.
Requirements
- Understand what constitutes good data and what data collection is needed to advance robotics.
- Have strong management and organizational capabilities.
- Be able to scale teams of programmatic and human annotators.
- Have a passion for data and attention to real-world data distributions.
- Have a vision for the future of robotics data, including effective modalities and distributions.
