Seeking an experienced Head Chef specializing in Asian cuisine to lead the kitchen team.
The role covers kitchen operations, food quality, authentic Asian dishes, and hygiene and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Asian dishes to restaurant standards.
- Develop and improve Asian menu items and recipes.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff; maintain consistent food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Manage food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety and hygiene standards.
- Monitor inventory and kitchen costs; order ingredients and supplies and check their quality.
- Ensure proper food and ingredient storage.
- Coordinate menu planning and special promotions with management.
Requirements
- At least five years of Asian cuisine experience in a restaurant or hotel.
- Strong knowledge of Asian cooking techniques, sauces, and ingredients.
- Leadership and team management skills; ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Culinary diploma or professional cooking training is preferred.
- Experience managing a full kitchen team and in menu creation and cost control is preferred.
Pay
- Pay starts at QAR 5,000 per month.
