Responsible for leading all coffee and beverage operations at Artisan Bakers, ensuring exceptional drink quality, outstanding customer service, and efficient daily operations.
This role oversees the barista team, maintains beverage standards, develops new drink offerings, manages inventory, and creates a welcoming café experience that complements the bakery’s artisan products.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to company standards.
- Lead, supervise, motivate, and support the barista team during daily operations.
- Train and develop baristas on coffee preparation, latte art, brewing methods, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Ensure consistency in beverage quality, presentation, and service standards.
- Develop, introduce, and standardize a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees, signature drinks, teas, refreshers, smoothies, and seasonal offerings.
- Create new drink recipes and promotional beverages that align with the Artisan Bakers brand and customer preferences.
- Conduct beverage tastings and train team members on new menu items to ensure consistency and quality.
- Monitor beverage trends and recommend new products and menu enhancements to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
- Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, tea, and other beverage supplies, ensuring proper stock control and minimizing waste.
- Ensure coffee machines, grinders, and beverage equipment are properly maintained and functioning efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, food safety, and health standards in all beverage preparation areas.
- Handle customer feedback, inquiries, and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Collaborate with bakery and service teams to promote products and enhance the overall guest experience.
- Assist with staff scheduling, shift planning, and performance evaluations.
- Drive sales through excellent product knowledge, upselling techniques, and customer engagement.
