The Head Barista leads coffee preparation quality and barista-team activities at Hint cafe.
Responsibilities
- Pull consistently excellent espresso and dial in daily by taste.
- Steam and pour silky microfoam and create clean latte art, including rosettas, tulips, and swans.
- Check grind, extraction, milk texture, and drink consistency.
- Manage coffee brands and roasters, including rotation, freshness, storage, and menu pairing.
- Train, coach, and schedule the barista team.
- Maintain grinders, machines, water filtration, and a spotless bar.
- Handle inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships.
Requirements
- At least three years of barista experience, including at least one year in a lead role.
- Strong latte art and milk-steaming skills.
- Knowledge of brewing methods, extraction, and water chemistry.
- Leadership, calm under pressure, and a guest-first attitude.
- SCA certification, cupping experience, and a portfolio of work are nice to have.
Pay
- Pay is AED 5,000–5,200 per month.
