Key responsibilities
- Prepare pastries, cakes, desserts, and other baked products according to recipes and quality standards.
- Develop and improve menus, recipes, and food products, including seasonal offerings.
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, appearance, presentation, and portion size.
- Lead kitchen operations and supervise, train, and develop kitchen staff.
- Plan pastry production using sales forecasts and operational requirements.
- Monitor food costs, stock usage, wastage, and inventory.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and HACCP compliance.
- Coordinate with Operations and Purchasing teams.
- Maintain clean, organized facilities and properly maintained kitchen equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior kitchen role.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation, production, and kitchen operations.
- Good understanding of food cost control and food safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced food and beverage environment.
- A culinary qualification is advantageous.
- One year of baking or bakery experience is preferred.
Pay
- Pay is AED 5,000–6,000 per month.
