GRP Technician

Role Overview

Employment and Work Location

• The role is full-time.
• The work location is in person in Dubai, UAE, with project or site work required when applicable.

Fabrication and Installation

• Carry out GRP/FRP fabrication, lamination, moulding, and finishing work.
• Perform cutting, grinding, bonding, lamination, and assembly of GRP components.
• Prepare moulds, surfaces, resins, fiberglass, and other materials for GRP work.
• Ensure proper curing, finishing, and dimensional accuracy of GRP products.

Inspection and Production

• Inspect GRP components for defects, cracks, air bubbles, delamination, and other quality issues.
• Carry out repair and rectification work as required.
• Follow production schedules and complete assigned work within required timeframes.
• Report material requirements, equipment issues, and quality concerns to the supervisor.

Safety and Coordination

• Operate and maintain relevant hand tools and equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow company HSE procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to complete assigned tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Three to six years of hands-on experience in GRP/FRP fabrication or manufacturing is required.
• Good knowledge of GRP materials, resins, fiberglass, laminating techniques, and finishing processes is required.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings and measurements is required.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and willingness to work at project or site locations are required.
• ITI, diploma, or a relevant technical qualification is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• GRP/FRP pipe or tank fabrication experience is preferred.
• Experience with hand lay-up and related GRP fabrication techniques is preferred.
• Attention to detail, defect rectification, teamwork, and communication are preferred.
