Summary
The Group Leader for JLR will be responsible for overseeing all workshop operations to ensure efficiency and quality standards are maintained.
They will work closely with Workshop Controller, Technicians, and Service Advisors to plan daily workloads, monitor job progress, and ensure compliance with manufacturers' repair procedures and warranty guidelines.
Job Responsibility
- Raise job cards for all vehicles in the workshop
- Plan daily workload with Workshop Controller
- Monitor technician efficiency and accuracy in time recording
- Ensure all repairs follow manufacturers' procedures
- Monitor repair estimates and completed repairs
- Inspect final repairs and conduct road tests
- Monitor warranty repairs and maintain warranty compliance
- Provide leadership and supervision for the Aftersales staff
- Make recommendations for workshop tools, equipment, and training requirements
- Ensure workshop cleanliness and compliance with Health & Safety regulations
Candidate Requirements
- Certificate/Diploma in any Technical Automotive course or Equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry
- At least 2 years of experience as a team or group leader in an automotive dealership
- Level 3 certification in JLR excellence
- Proven experience in leading a team
- Strong communication skills in English
- Systematic work approach
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Deadline-oriented
- Knowledge of 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
