Purpose

Inspire visitors through strong visual impressions that communicate the IKEA home furnishing offer and help turn visitors into customers.

Develop and inspire the Com&In team and store functions so communication complements the shopping experience and strengthens the IKEA brand locally.

Accountabilities

  • Lead and inspire the Com&In team and store functions to strengthen consistent IKEA identity in store communication.
  • Plan and implement store communication that explains the IKEA Concept and enhances range presentation using proven solutions, guidelines, and national directions.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate communication strategies informed by local home life and shopping behavior.
  • Support department action plans with communication initiatives that grow the business and support long-term profitability.
  • Share best practices and guidelines with the Com&In team and graphic communication leader network.
  • Set standards for routines and responsibilities; pursue commercial opportunities and understand their financial impact.
  • Ensure visual balance, consistency, quality, simplicity, cost-efficiency, and sustainability in store communication.
  • Stay current on home furnishing, communication, and retail design trends and support creative workshops.
  • Support succession planning by identifying potential candidates; minimize disruption to visitors while working on the shop floor.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Experience visually expressing a brand identity; commercial and visual competence with a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Experience in a fast retail environment, a customer-focused mindset, and retail and home furnishing experience.
  • Ability to combine commercial, aesthetic, and practical skills and collaborate as part of a team.
  • Confidently communicate with different people, work flexibly and hands-on, meet deadlines, and visualize and present ideas.
