Graduate Technology Trainee (Internship)

KARTY is a Qatar Central Bank licensed digital payments and money management app offering physical and virtual Visa cards, smart spending insights, subscription tracking, and saving tools — all designed to give users greater visibility and control over their payments.

We're seeking motivated fresh graduates to join our engineering team through our trainee hiring program.

You'll work on building and maintaining the server-side logic, databases, and APIs that power our fintech platform.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced startup environment while working on real-world financial technology.

We'll provide training on the specific technologies we use — what matters most is your strong foundation in computer science fundamentals.

You'll develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services, work with databases to ensure data integrity and security, collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements, write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions, help troubleshoot and debug issues in development and production environments, and learn and implement best practices for security, especially crucial in fintech applications.

You should have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming concepts, database concepts and SQL, operating systems and computer networks, software design principles, and understanding of time and space complexity. We're looking for excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, ability to write clean, logical code, strong attention to detail, eagerness to learn new technologies and frameworks, good communication and teamwork abilities, and passion for building quality software.

Nice to Have

Any programming experience through coursework, personal projects, or internships, familiarity with version control systems like Git, participation in competitive programming or hackathons, understanding of API design concepts, and interest in financial technology would be beneficial.
