Cybersecurity / InfoSec Intern (Graduate Program)

KARTY is a Qatar Central Bank licensed digital payments and money management app offering physical and virtual Visa cards, smart spending insights, subscription tracking, and saving tools — all designed to give users greater visibility and control over their payments.

We're seeking motivated fresh graduates to join our Cybersecurity team through our trainee hiring program, with a focus on information security.

You'll work alongside our security professionals to help protect the platform, our infrastructure, and our users from cyber threats, including unauthorized access, data breaches, and fraud-enabling attacks.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity within a fast-paced, licensed fintech environment.

We'll provide training on our specific tools, security frameworks, and internal processes, what matters most is your strong foundation, attention to detail, and integrity.

You'll support the security team in monitoring systems and alerts for suspicious or malicious activity, assist with vulnerability assessments and help track remediation efforts, support identity and access management reviews across our systems, help maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures, assist in incident response activities and investigations, support the team in ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal information security standards, and learn and apply best practices in cybersecurity, especially crucial in fintech.

You should have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, with a strong interest in information security. We're looking for a solid grasp of networking, operating systems, and security fundamentals, excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking, strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment and a high level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information, the ability to follow structured processes and document work clearly, eagerness to learn security tools and frameworks, and good organizational and teamwork abilities.

Nice to Have

Any exposure to security concepts such as network security, threat detection, SIEM, vulnerability scanning, or penetration testing through coursework, labs, certifications, or internships, familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and common security tools, relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+, or introductory cybersecurity courses), hands-on practice through CTFs, home labs, or personal projects, scripting ability (e.g., Python, Bash), and a genuine interest in cyber/financial technology would be beneficial.
