Role overview

Document control duties

• Coordinate document and drawing management with project managers and issue design drawings to contractors and local authorities as directed.
• Log incoming and outgoing transmittals, submittals, reports, and other documents; maintain drawing, NCR, RFI, and submittal registers.
• Maintain current drawing sets, identify and file superseded drawings, and monitor response times against contractual limits.
• Archive project directories and records, manage FTP transfers and document-control systems, and arrange printing of deliverables.
• Support quality assurance procedures and ISO certification; coordinate tender and construction package issues.
• Help project teams establish document-control procedures, provide administrative support, and identify opportunities to reduce printing costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or a related field.
• Proficiency in document management systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and document-control software such as Aconex or Prolog.
• Strong filing, archiving, data-entry, and record-keeping skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Knowledge of UAE construction industry standards and regulations; able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
