Job Description
The Government Relations Officer is responsible for maintaining the organization’s interactions with government entities, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and facilitating smooth processing of government-related transactions.
This role supports business operations by providing expertise on governmental procedures, regulatory updates, and stakeholder engagement.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure the company complies with all relevant UAE laws, regulations, and government policies.
- Monitor changes in government regulations and update management on required actions.
- Prepare and submit official documentation for visas, work permits, trade licenses, and other legal requirements.
Government Liaison
- Act as the primary point of contact between the company and government bodies (e.g., MOHRE, Immigration, CNIA, Free Zone authorities, Municipalities, MOE, DED).
- Build strong working relationships with officials and agencies to support business operations.
- Facilitate approvals, clearances, renewals, and permits on time.
Employee-Related Government Services
- Handle all employee onboarding government processes such as visa issuance, medical tests, Emirates ID, and labor contracts.
- Manage visa renewals, cancellations, and job title updates.
- Support employees with government queries and document requirements.
Corporate Documentation
- Manage trade license renewals, establishment card renewals, and amendments.
- Maintain accurate records of all government-related transactions and documentation.
- Ensure company information is updated across all government portals.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent the company during meetings, inspections, and audits from government bodies.
- Support government programs or initiatives required for Emiratization or nationalization compliance.
- Assist with letters, NOCs, and formal government
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in government relations
