We are seeking an
experienced and commercially minded Government Affairs Manager
to serve as the strategic bridge between the organization and key government entities, ministries, regulatory authorities, chambers of commerce, industrial development bodies, and industry associations.
This role goes significantly beyond traditional government relations activities.
The successful candidate will actively leverage government engagement to support business growth, identify strategic opportunities, influence regulatory outcomes, facilitate market expansion, and strengthen the organization's position within the Kingdom's evolving industrial and economic landscape.
Working closely with senior leadership, the Government Affairs Manager will develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies aligned with the company's commercial and operational objectives while ensuring full regulatory compliance and minimizing business risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute government engagement strategies that support the organization's commercial and strategic objectives, identifying and facilitating business opportunities arising from government programs, industrial initiatives, economic development plans, and Vision 2030 projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with ministries, regulatory authorities, chambers of commerce, economic development agencies, industrial authorities, and key public-sector stakeholders; represent the organization at government forums, industry events, and strategic stakeholder meetings.
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and governmental requirements; oversee the procurement, renewal, amendment, and maintenance of all licenses, permits, registrations, certifications, and regulatory approvals required for business operations.
- Monitor legislative, regulatory, and economic developments that may impact the organization's operations, competitiveness, profitability, or strategic objectives; analyze proposed laws and regulations to assess potential business impact and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Lead the resolution of government-related issues that may affect operations, facilities, employees, imports, exports, or commercial activities; act as the escalation point for urgent regulatory or governmental matters.
- Manage budgets and resources allocated to government affairs activities; track and report key performance metrics and ensure cost-effective management of all government-related processes.
- Collaborate with commercial, finance, operations, supply chain, and executive leadership teams to align government engagement activities with business growth objectives and support participation in government tenders and investment programs.
- Experience with Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives and localization (Saudization) programs Track record of securing government contracts or incentives in emerging markets Fluency in Arabic language and understanding of Saudi business culture Background in regulatory compliance and trade policy advocacy Experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing C-suite decision-making

- Professional certifications related to government affairs, compliance, regulatory affairs, or public policy
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, production, or similarly regulated sectors
