Own accounting, reporting, and compliance end-to-end, from bookkeeping and technical GAAP decisions to tax filings, audits, and process improvement.

Accounting and Tax
- Own the general ledger and monthly, quarterly, and annual US GAAP close, including revenue recognition, accruals, capitalization, reconciliations, policies, and controls.
- Manage US federal and state corporate tax and international tax, including estimates, filings, cross-border entities, and transfer pricing; coordinate advisors and track regulatory changes.
- Own payroll compliance, payroll taxes, filings, and the PEO or provider relationship.
Audit, Reporting, and Processes
- Lead annual financial statements, audit preparation, investor updates, and due diligence.
- Build management dashboards and variance analyses to inform strategic decisions.
- Build and automate accounting, billing, payroll, and reporting processes, using modern AI tooling to reduce manual work and error risk.
Qualifications
- 10–15 years of experience, including Big 4 or public accounting.
- Deep US GAAP and financial-statement expertise, with hands-on US and international tax experience across multi-entity structures and complex reconciliations.
- Autonomy, comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced startup, and strong attention to detail.
- Standing up a finance function from scratch is a bonus.
Compensation
- Compensation range is $180,000–$250,000, with equity offered; the compensation cadence is not stated.
