Hands-on Engineering Manager leading Audiomob’s Infrastructure and Services team.
Hybrid in Abu Dhabi: four days in the office and one day from home.
Node.js and TypeScript expertise is essential; additional Go and AdTech experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage software engineers and foster a high-performance team.
- Drive design, development, and delivery of high-scale software aligned with business goals.
- Lead development and operation of high-throughput systems processing billions of requests daily.
- Contribute to coding, code reviews, and architecture discussions; mentor and develop engineering talent.
- Partner with stakeholders to define requirements and deliverables and translate them into solutions.
- Promote development, testing, and deployment best practices; resolve technical and organizational challenges.
- Manage priorities and deadlines to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 2 years in management or leadership.
- Demonstrable expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Experience designing, operating, and scaling complex cloud infrastructure on platforms such as GCP or AWS, using IaC tools such as Terraform.
- Strong expertise in relational databases such as PostgreSQL and in-memory data stores such as Redis.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools and interest in AI for engineering workflows and automation.
- Extensive high-scale, high-performance delivery experience; strong leadership, team-building, communication, and interpersonal skills; composure under pressure.
Preferred qualifications
- Computer Science bachelor’s or master’s degree is a nice-to-have.
- Go proficiency is highly desirable.
- SvelteKit or React frontend knowledge and AdTech understanding are pluses.
