Role overview

The experienced GEO Team Lead will build and lead GEO strategy on top of an existing SEO foundation for generative AI search platforms.

The role owns country-level monitoring, agenda discovery, response content, performance measurement, team setup, and client communication.

Strategy and monitoring

  • Set up and operate a GEO organization across SEO/GEO operations, technology, and content.
  • Set country- and brand-level priorities for always-on and campaign responses; manage quarterly and annual roadmaps.
  • Build brand mention, visibility, and vulnerable-question monitoring; prioritize country-level response agendas and oversee execution.

Content and technical coordination

  • Direct and quality-check response content such as articles, FAQs, and promotional content.
  • Prioritize HQ content localization and country-specific New Product Introduction response content.
  • Review content and technology implementation of GEO elements across key channels.
  • Collaborate on generative AI search crawling, indexing, and answer generation; review llms.txt, structured data, and robots.txt.
  • Coordinate technology and content teams to optimize content structure for AI crawling and citation.

Measurement, clients, and team

  • Build performance dashboards, define KPIs, and manage weekly status newsletters and periodic reports.
  • Serve as primary client and advertiser contact for proposals, reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Translate client requirements into execution plans and communicate accountable results.
  • Distribute work, manage team performance, and develop capabilities, including upskilling SEO staff into GEO roles.

Required qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on SEO experience, including team lead or management experience.
  • Experience communicating with clients or stakeholders.
  • Working understanding of generative AI search and GEO technical fundamentals, including structured data, llms.txt, and crawling/indexing principles.

Preferred qualifications

  • Multi-country or multi-region SEO project experience is preferred.
  • Hands-on GEO experience, generative AI search optimization experience, and GEO technology tools experience are preferred.
  • Arabic proficiency is an advantage.

Compensation and employment

  • Full-time role.
  • Pay is AED 180,000–240,000 per year.
