About ART
ART Ambulance Services L.L.C. is a DCAS-licensed ambulance operator in Dubai and part of the Belgian Ambuce Rescue Team group, which has operated in Europe since 1975.
Services include non-emergency patient transport, event medical standby, corporate and industrial site medical cover, and international medical escorts and repatriations.
The role
ART seeks a DHA-licensed General Practitioner to join its medical team in Dubai.
The GP sees patients at home and in the field and supports ambulance crews and day-to-day medical operations.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct home visits and assess patients through history-taking, examination, medication review, and treatment.
- Manage common acute and chronic conditions, prescribe, and refer when needed.
- Perform pre-transfer patient assessments when required.
- Provide physician cover at events and corporate or industrial sites.
- Advise ambulance crews and the dispatch team; maintain timely patient records under DHA requirements.
- Follow ART clinical protocols and support crew training when needed.
Requirements
- MBBS/MBChB or equivalent, with completed internship.
- DHA General Practitioner licence or valid DHA eligibility letter.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience after internship.
- Valid BLS certification and good spoken and written English.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Nice to have
- ACLS certification; emergency medicine, family medicine, or home care experience; UAE driving licence; Arabic or other languages.
Regulatory conditions
- ART may designate the successful candidate as Medical Director of one of its licensed facilities, subject to regulatory approval.
- Candidates must be willing to accept the designation and sign the related DHA undertaking, and must not currently hold a Medical Director appointment outside the ART group.
- Any offer depends on DHA licence activation under ART, primary source verification, and satisfactory references.
