- Conduct physical examinations and diagnostic tests to diagnose health conditions: General Practitioners perform physical examinations, medical history reviews, and diagnostic tests to identify potential health concerns. They use the information gathered to create a treatment plan.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic illnesses: After identifying a health issue, the GP creates a treatment plan that includes medications, therapies, and lifestyle recommendations. They monitor the patient's progress and make adjustments to the treatment plan as needed.
- Prescribe medications and other therapies to manage symptoms and promote healing: General Practitioners prescribe medications to manage acute and chronic conditions, as well as other therapies to promote healing.
- Provide preventive care, such as vaccinations, cancer screenings, and wellness check-ups: General Practitioners focus on preventive care to help patients maintain good health. They provide vaccinations, cancer screenings, and wellness check-ups to catch potential health problems early.
- Educate patients about healthy lifestyle choices, including diet and exercise: General Practitioners educate patients about healthy lifestyle choices to promote overall wellness. They provide advice on diet and exercise, stress management, and other lifestyle factors that can affect health.
