About the Company
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented General Insurance Underwriter to join our team in Dubai.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience within a general insurance environment, particularly working with insurance brokers, and possess strong technical knowledge of underwriting processes, insurance products, and policy administration.
The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage client and broker relationships effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess insurance proposals across various general insurance lines (e.g., Motor, Property, Liability, Marine)
- Analyze risk profiles and determine appropriate coverage terms and pricing
- Work closely with insurance brokers to manage new business and renewals
- Provide timely quotations, underwriting decisions, and technical clarifications
- Review, issue, and manage insurance policies and endorsements
- Ensure compliance with company underwriting guidelines and UAE insurance regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation and underwriting records
- Support internal teams with technical expertise and risk assessment insights
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certifications preferred: ACII (Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute), Cert CII or equivalent certifications
Required Skills
- 2–5 years of experience in the General Insurance industry
- Mandatory experience working with an Insurance Broker
- Proven hands-on experience within a General Insurance Department
- Strong understanding of general insurance products, underwriting processes, and policy administration
- Good analytical and risk evaluation abilities
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Professional certifications preferred: ACII (Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute), Cert CII or equivalent certifications
