General Insurance Manager

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in underwriting, policy administration, claims coordination, insurer relationship management, and team leadership within the UAE insurance market.

Underwriting & Technical Management **Review and assess complex insurance risks and underwriting submissions** Provide technical expertise across: o Property o Liability o Engineering o Marine o Motor Fleet o SME insurance lines **Monitor portfolio performance, renewal quality, and loss ratios** Ensure underwriting profitability and operational efficiency Team Leadership & Development **Lead, mentor, and support underwriting and operations teams** Conduct technical training on underwriting guidelines, insurer portals, and compliance procedures **Ensure accuracy and quality control of quotations, proposals, policies, and endorsements Insurer & Client Relationship Management** Negotiate premiums, terms, and coverage conditions with insurers **Support sales teams during client meetings and renewal negotiations** Handle escalations and resolve complex policy or claims-related issues **Maintain strong relationships with insurers and key clients Operations & Compliance** Oversee policy issuance, endorsements, cancellations, and refunds **Ensure compliance with UAE insurance regulations and CBUAE requirements** Maintain accurate KYC, proposal forms, and policy documentation **Monitor internal operational processes and service turnaround times Business Support & Strategy** Support sales teams in preparing competitive insurance proposals **Monitor market trends, insurer updates, and product developments** Identify opportunities for cross-selling and portfolio growth **Contribute to strategic initiatives and operational improvements**
