Role overview

Accounting responsibilities

• Handle the complete accounting cycle and day-to-day accounting activities; maintain accurate records and ledgers.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, supplier and customer accounts, invoices, receipts, payment records, and supplier bills.
• Follow up on receivables, maintain aging reports, record and reconcile bank transactions, and prepare bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly Profit and Loss statements, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, financial reports, and management summaries.
• Monitor cash flow, provide financial information to management, and reconcile customer, supplier, bank, cash, and other accounts.
• Monitor expenses and supporting documentation; assist with month-end and year-end closing and account finalization.
• Coordinate with management, suppliers, customers, and auditors as needed; maintain accurate and confidential accounting records.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in B.Com, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant accounting experience; three years is listed as preferred in the posting.
• Ability to independently handle accounts through finalization with minimum supervision.
• Construction equipment rental, heavy equipment rental, machinery rental, contracting, or similar industry experience is preferred.

Knowledge and skills

• Strong knowledge of Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
• Able to independently prepare monthly financial and management reports; understands accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Fluent in English and Hindi; Malayalam is an advantage.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel and Word and comfort using accounting software.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability, attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and time management; able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Compensation

• Full-time, permanent role paying AED 3,000–3,950 per month.

• Work is in person in Dubai.
