We are looking for a General Accountant who is ready to bring precision, integrity, and a problem-solving mindset to our finance team.
This is not a job for someone who simply wants to close books.
We need a proactive General Accountant who will partner with our administration to track budgets, manage tuition and operational cash flow, and ensure full compliance with UAE financial regulations.
You will handle day-to-day accounting, prepare financial reports, and support our leadership team with insights that drive smart decisions.

Duties
- Manage full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Process tuition fees, vendor payments, payroll entries, and government remittances.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and UAE laws.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for school departments and technology programs.
- Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and assist with VAT return filing.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants during year-end audits.
- Maintain organized digital records of financial transactions, contracts, and supporting documents.
- Support grant tracking or government funding reporting if applicable.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in school finance operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in general accounting, preferably within education, technology, or a service-oriented organization.
- Solid understanding of IFRS, VAT, and UAE financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet monthly closing deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an asset.
- Must have a valid UAE PASS for digital identity verification and onboarding.
