Gaming Arcade Technician

Objective

Key Responsibilities

• Performing regular maintenance and repairing arcade games, attractions, simulators, and bowling equipment.
• Ensuring a safe environment for both customers and staff by adhering to safety protocols and promptly addressing hazards.
• Ensuring bowling lane maintenance and repairing bowling lanes, pinsetters, and other bowling-related equipment.
• Conducting routine inspections and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on all systems to identify any damage, hazards, or maintenance needs.
• Installing new games and equipment, including wiring, connections, and calibration.
• Responding promptly to technical issues reported by staff or guests.
• Developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
• Maintaining inventory of spare parts and ordering replacements when necessary.
• Adhering to all safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies.
• Finding creative solutions to complex issues and diagnosing and resolving technical problems.
• Supporting operations’ needs whenever required, as instructed by the Arcade Supervisor and Ops Manager.
• Performing other roles and responsibilities assigned by the Operations Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
• 4 to 5 years of experience in the relevant field.
• Proven experience as an Arcade/Bowling Technician in amusement facilities.
• Strong knowledge of arcade games and bowling alley mechanics, electronics, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to after-hours emergencies when necessary.
