FURNITURE CARPENTER / TEAM LEADER (Project Handling with Minimal Supervision)

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all types of carpentry work, including installation, fabrication, repair, and finishing. And clearly knows how to make a furniture from start to finish.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Lead and supervise a team of carpenters and helpers on assigned projects.
• Plan daily work activities and allocate tasks to team members efficiently.
• Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed according to schedule and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow.
• Conduct site measurements and prepare material requirements before work begins.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications and company standards.
• Identify and resolve site issues independently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety procedures and company policies.
• Train and mentor junior carpenters and helpers to improve their skills and productivity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in carpentry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leader role.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and construction methods.
• Ability to read construction drawings and technical plans.
• Proven experience in handling projects independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual work when required.
