Fabricate, install, repair, and finish furniture and wooden fixtures according to project requirements and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Follow technical drawings, sketches, and building plans.
- Measure and cut wood, drywall, and other materials using hand and power tools.
- Construct walls, floors, door frames, window installations, and staircases.
- Install furniture, cabinets, doors, trim, hardware, and siding.
- Inspect damaged woodwork or installations and replace defective parts.
- Follow local building codes and keep the worksite clean and hazard-free.
Skills and qualifications
- Several years of experience as a Furniture Carpenter or in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of furniture fabrication, assembly, and installation.
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurements.
- Proficiency with carpentry hand and power tools, including saws, drills, sanders, and measuring tools.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy; basic mathematics and measurement skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials when required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
Pay
- Pay starts at AED 1,500 per month.
