A global market-leading client seeks a Senior Functional Consultant for Autonomous Networks.
The role leads maturity assessments, defines NGOSS functional architecture, develops three-to-five-year technology roadmaps, and configures operational frameworks aligned with TM Forum standards.
Key responsibilities
- Assess network capabilities with the TM Forum Autonomous Network Level Evaluation Framework (IG1252/IG1392), grading operators from Level 0 to Level 4/5.
- Redesign Telecom NOC/SOC processes for autonomous, zero-touch operations.
- Define target functional components using TM Forum ODA, eTOM, TAM, and SID.
- Design architectures for autonomous observability, closed-loop fault diagnosis, self-healing, and AI-powered RAN energy optimization.
- Oversee integration compliance with TM Forum Open APIs and emerging protocols such as MCP.
- Facilitate Proof of Technology workshops and design agentic AI scenarios.
- Work with ecosystem partners such as Nokia and Red Hat to validate Autonomous Network solutions.
Required expertise
- Deep functional knowledge of 5G, cloud-native networks, Core, Transport, and IP/MPLS domains.
- OSS expertise spanning inventory modeling, fault/alarm correlation, root-cause analysis, performance KPI modeling, and service fulfillment engines.
- Foundational knowledge of AI/ML engineering, AIOps, knowledge graphs, and LLM-driven multi-agent systems for network control loops.
- Consulting experience in requirements elicitation, functional design, and value-realization metrics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- At least 7–10 years in telecom network engineering, system integration, or management consulting, including at least 3 years on network automation projects.
Certifications and preferred education
- Must hold one or more active TM Forum credentials: IDAN Fundamentals, ANL Fundamentals/Practitioner, or TM Forum Open API/ODA Functional Framework Certification.
- An MBA or master’s degree in Engineering is highly preferred.
