Role context
The Full Stack Software Engineer joins the Engineering team and reports to the Software Engineering Lead.
The role works on core platform and services, focusing on scalability, performance, new functionality, and development-process improvements.
The Engineering team develops core business products and delivers them to production, including solutions and tools for provisioning, configuration, CI/CD, monitoring, SLAs, performance, and uptime.
Key responsibilities
- Develop client-side and server-side software for highly available services, primarily exposed through APIs.
- Participate in designing, implementing, and shipping products for internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver software that is high-quality, testable, secure, readable, scalable, and documented.
- Apply and champion Agile practices such as code reviews, sprint planning, pair programming, and daily stand-ups.
- Assist with evaluating new technologies and initiatives.
- Provide L3 support for production and critical issues.
- Help ensure platform scalability and performance, deliver new functionality, and automate and improve development processes.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience building scalable applications based on microservice architecture.
- Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in one or more of Golang (preferred), Perl, or Python.
- Proficiency with front-end languages and libraries, such as HTML/CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience with Vue.js or similar JavaScript libraries or frameworks.
- Experience with relational databases.
- Passion for Agile methodology and practices, including TDD, CI, and CD.
- Experience designing and developing web and API solutions as a Full Stack Engineer or in a similar role.
- Interest in the FinTech industry and market innovations.
- Motivation, curiosity, and an appetite for learning.
Technology stack
- Core services are hosted on Amazon Web Services.
- The main technology stack includes Golang, Python, Perl (Mojolicious), PostgreSQL, Vue.js, Docker, and Nginx.
- The role involves writing, testing, and deploying code multiple times per day for reliable, secure, and massively scalable services.
