Front Of House Manager

This role balances high-level operational management with hands-on staff development, ensuring that the brand's standards are consistently met and that every guest receives world-class service.
1. Service & Guest Excellence
- Direct the flow of the dining room during service, managing seating charts and waitlists to optimize capacity.
- Act as the primary point of contact for guest inquiries, feedback, and resolution of any service issues.
- Ensure all staff adhere to the "Steps of Service" to maintain a consistent and premium atmosphere.
2. Team Leadership & Talent Management
- Supervise daily floor operations, ensuring all staff (hosts, servers, runners) are performing at peak efficiency.
- Create and manage weekly staff schedules based on seasonal demand and peak dining hours.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide real-time coaching to improve service delivery.
3. Training & Development Strategy
- **Curriculum Design:**
- Implement a structured onboarding program for all new FOH hires.
- **Daily Coaching:**
- Conduct pre-shift briefings to review menu updates, daily specials, and service goals.
- **Skills Enhancement:**
- Lead workshops on upselling techniques, beverage knowledge, and guest psychology.
- **Standardization:**
- Maintain and update training manuals to ensure uniform service across all shifts.
4. Operational & Financial Control
- Manage labor costs by adjusting staffing levels in real-time according to business volume.
- Oversee daily cash handling, POS reconciliation, and end-of-shift reporting.
- Monitor inventory for FOH supplies (glassware, linens, cutlery) and coordinate ordering as needed.
- Maintain strict adherence to Saudi Arabian food safety and municipality regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- **Experience:**
- 3+ years of experience in FOH management within a high-volume, upscale, or fine-dining environment.
- **Education:**
- Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- **Language:**
- Professional proficiency in English is required; Arabic is highly advantageous.
- **Technical Skills:**
- Advanced knowledge of POS systems (e.g., Micros, Foodics) and Microsoft Excel for data tracking.
- **Soft Skills:**
- Exceptional emotional intelligence, leadership presence, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
