Role Overview

Essential Requirements

• Spoken and written fluency in French and English
• Minimum 5 years’ experience teaching French to early years and/or primary-aged children
• Experience teaching French through songs, stories, conversation, games, movement, role play, vocabulary development, early reading, and age-appropriate written work
• Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, Languages, Early Childhood Education or a related field; teaching qualification preferred
• Ability to teach across age groups, including early years, Kindergarten, and primary students
• Strong understanding of how young children acquire language and how to build confidence in speaking and listening
• Ability to plan engaging lessons for small groups and differentiate instruction based on age, ability, and language exposure
• Warm, confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
• Open-mindedness to learning and implementing Masterminds’ proprietary teaching methodologies and curriculum approach

Core Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging French lessons for early years, Kindergarten, and primary-aged students
• Build children’s French vocabulary, pronunciation, listening comprehension, speaking confidence, early reading, and age-appropriate writing skills
• Use songs, stories, games, movement, visuals, role play, routines, conversation, and hands-on activities to make French learning active and memorable
• Differentiate lessons for small groups and individual learners based on age, readiness, confidence, and prior exposure to French
• Create a positive and structured classroom environment where children feel confident participating in French
• Track student progress through observation, participation, formative assessment, and internal documentation
• Prepare lesson materials, visual aids, vocabulary resources, displays, songs, stories, and activities aligned with weekly themes and curriculum goals
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialist teachers to connect French learning with wider themes and enrichment activities where appropriate
• Support school events, presentations, performances, and parent-facing activities involving French language learning
• Communicate professionally with parents and contribute to progress updates, meetings, and learning documentation where required
• Supervise students during transitions, specialist lessons, school events, and other activities as required
• Follow all safeguarding, health, safety, confidentiality, and school policies
• Participate in staff meetings, training, professional development, and curriculum refinement

Compensation & Benefits

• AED 13,000 – 16,000 per month, tax-free, including base salary and housing allowance, based on quality of experience and qualifications
