Fraud Protection Analyst- Senior

• Onsite at Birmingham, Alabama; Memphis, Tennessee; or Metairie, Louisiana.

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Analyze transaction datasets with Excel, Power BI, and other tools to identify evolving fraud patterns.
• Use advanced Excel techniques to conduct detailed fraud analysis.
• Research fraud activity and recommend control enhancements.
• Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to communicate findings and support mitigation strategies.
• Manage multiple projects, prioritize work, document analyses, prepare reports, and present insights.
• Stay current on fraud trends and detection practices; protect confidential data and follow handling standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related analytics, business, or finance field, or at least five years of fraud analytics or similar data-analysis experience.
• Advanced Excel analytics expertise and ability to identify patterns and anomalies in large datasets.
• Strong organization, time management, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Power BI experience is strongly preferred; banking, digital payments, or fraud-prevention experience is preferred.
• SQL or Python familiarity is beneficial but not required.
• Occasional flexibility in working hours may be needed.
