Fraud Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Review daily reports and research suspicious bank account and debit card activity to confirm fraud.
• Process debit card disputes and chargebacks.
• Investigate customer and transactional activity in banking systems for fraud and high-risk activity.
• Analyze trends and carry out strategies to reduce risk and fraud.
• Take action to prevent additional fraud and work cases according to procedure.
• Help fraud victims with questions and account security.
• Contribute to fraud detection development and collaborate with Operations, Compliance, and IT.
• Escalate significant issues and recommend action on identified weaknesses.
• Balance priorities and deadlines and contribute to special projects.

Required qualifications

• At least two years in general banking operations.
• At least two years in payment fraud investigation, online fraud, or financial crime risk management.
• At least two years of investigative and data analytical skills and the ability to articulate risks and issues.
• At least one year in card fraud investigation or card processing.
• Excel proficiency, including filtering, sorting, and VLOOKUP.
• Database query experience, such as SQL or Databricks.
• Must reside and work onsite in Draper, Utah, or Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or information technology.
• At least one year of customer service experience and professional customer interaction skills.
• Experience in healthcare payments, particularly healthcare payments fraud.
• Ability to make independent decisions with minimal guidance.

Compensation

• Annual salary range is $60,200 to $107,400 for full-time employment.

Workplace

• Onsite work is required in Draper, Utah, or Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
