Forward Deployed Software Engineer - US Government

The role

Responsibilities

• Understand customer problems and design and implement solutions that use data effectively.
• Own high-stakes project execution from beginning to end.
• Discuss architecture with engineers, work with large-scale data, and code custom web applications.
• Engage customer executives and help establish team strategy.
• Collaborate with customers, often on site, to understand and solve problems.

What we value

• Strong engineering background; Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics are preferred fields.
• Experience with logistics, materiel, sustainment, aviation, or readiness analysis is a plus.
• Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
• Strong coding ability in Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or a similar language.
• Ability to understand how technical decisions affect users.
• Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams and adapt to changing objectives and user feedback.
• Ability to learn continuously, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
• Willingness and interest to travel as needed.

Required clearance

• Active US Security Clearance at or above the Secret level is required.

Compensation

• Estimated salary range is $135,000 to $200,000 per year; total compensation may include restricted stock units, sign-on bonus, or other incentives.
