Fortinet Security Engineer Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract Experience Required: 3 5 Years Domain: Cybersecurity / Network Security / Security Operations Note : Must be Saudi National Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fortinet Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation, administration, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Fortinet security solutions across the enterprise environment. The role requires hands-on expertise in Fortinet technologies including FortiAuthenticator, FortiEDR, FortiClient EMS/VPN, FortiWeb WAF, FortiMail, and FortiSandbox , ensuring the security, availability, and optimal performance of the organization s security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of identity management, endpoint security, email security, web application protection, threat detection, and incident response. Key Responsibilities Security Platform Administration Deploy, configure, administer, and maintain Fortinet security solutions across enterprise environments. Manage and optimize FortiAuthenticator, FortiEDR, FortiClient EMS/VPN, FortiWeb, FortiMail, and FortiSandbox platforms. Monitor system health, availability, and performance of security infrastructure. Perform regular upgrades, patching, backups, and configuration reviews. Identity & Access Management Implement and manage Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions using FortiAuthenticator. Integrate authentication services with Active Directory, LDAP, RADIUS, and other identity management systems. Manage user access policies and authentication workflows. Endpoint & Remote Access Security Administer FortiEDR for endpoint protection, threat detection, and incident response. Manage FortiClient EMS and VPN services to ensure secure remote access for users. Investigate endpoint security incidents and implement remediation measures. Web & Email Security Configure and maintain FortiWeb Web Application Firewall (WAF) to protect web applications against cyber threats. Manage FortiMail email security services, including anti-spam, anti-malware, and email protection policies. Analyze security logs and implement corrective actions for identified vulnerabilities. Threat Detection & Incident Response Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and coordinate response activities. Utilize FortiSandbox for malware analysis and advanced threat detection. Collaborate with SOC teams to identify, contain, and remediate security threats. Support vulnerability management and security hardening initiatives. Integration & Security Operations Integrate Fortinet solutions with SIEM platforms and other security monitoring tools. Support implementation of Fortinet Security Fabric architecture. Participate in security assessments, audits, and compliance activities. Maintain security documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures. Proven experience implementing and managing enterprise security platforms. Experience with authentication systems, endpoint security, email security, and web application security. Experience integrating security solutions with Active Directory, LDAP, SIEM, and third-party platforms. Experience supporting production security environments and handling security incidents. Preferred Certifications Fortinet NSE Certifications (NSE 4, NSE 5, NSE 6, or equivalent Fortinet Certifications) Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) Fortinet Certified Solution Specialist (FCSS) Security+ CEH CISSP (Preferred for senior candidates) Soft Skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent problem-solving and incident investigation abilities. Good communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams. Strong attention to detail and security-focused mindset. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
