Formwork Logistics Engineer
About This Role
Formwork logistics engineer combines the technical knowledge of a Formwork engineer with expertise in supply chain management and material coordination to ensure that design components are available at the right place and time during a construction project.
Forecast and plan formwork material requirements based on project schedules and construction sequences.
Ensure optimal stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory
Plan daily/weekly distribution of formwork materials to project sites to maximize the in house material utilization and reduce the rental
Develop logistics and material delivery plans to ensure timely availability at sites.
Monitor hired formwork components across construction sites as well as at warehouse.
Coordinate with the warehouse and site teams for material allocation.
Coordinate with the design team for maximum material utilization.
Optimize transportation and propose cost-saving measures.
Monitor the handling of formwork materials at site and report any misuse or improper handling
Prepare monthly reports on hired and in-house material utilization, shortages .
Plan and coordinate the delivery and return of formwork materials to/from project sites .
Collaborate with construction team to align delivery schedules with construction timelines.
Ensure proper documentation and tracking of hired formwork components .
Ensure proper documentation for the damaged material lists
Analyze logistics workflows and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and cut costs.
Ensure all logistics activities adhere to safety standards and regulations
Conduct regular inspections of handling material at our warehouse .
Budget & Cost Control Orientation: Control cost in his area of responsibility and to identify ways to reduce it. Process Improvement & Management Systems Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and procedures in your area of responsibility Team Management & Development Lead & manage the team to make most efficient and effective use of the human resources to achieve departmental and organizational goals
