Overview
- Formwork logistics engineer combines the technical knowledge of a Formwork engineer with expertise in supply chain management and material coordination to ensure that design components are available at the right place and time during a construction project.
- Forecast and plan formwork material requirements based on project schedules and construction sequences.
- Ensure optimal stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory
- Plan daily/weekly distribution of formwork materials to project sites to maximize the in house material utilization and reduce the rental
- Develop logistics and material delivery plans to ensure timely availability at sites.
- Monitor hired formwork components across construction sites as well as at warehouse.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and site teams for material allocation.
- Coordinate with the design team for maximum material utilization.
- Optimize transportation and propose cost-saving measures.
- Monitor the handling of formwork materials at site and report any misuse or improper handling
- Prepare monthly reports on hired and in-house material utilization, shortages .
- Plan and coordinate the delivery and return of formwork materials to/from project sites .
- Collaborate with construction team to align delivery schedules with construction timelines.
- Ensure proper documentation and tracking of hired formwork components .
- Ensure proper documentation for the damaged material lists
- Analyze logistics workflows and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and cut costs.
- Ensure all logistics activities adhere to safety standards and regulations
- Conduct regular inspections of handling material at our warehouse .
Budget & Cost Control Orientation
: Control cost in his area of responsibility and to identify ways to reduce it.
