Food Technician

Aldar Education are currently seeking an outstanding Technician for the Food Preparation & Nutrition Department for Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi commencing start of academic year 2026/27.

Assist school in achieving its overall vision and strategic intentions and to contribute to the achievement of relevant targets as set out in the school s improvement plan and self-evaluation form.

Comply with regulations pertaining to health and safety at work legislation and adhere to school policies relating to safe working practice and equal opportunities regulations.

Comply with the school s Performance Management Policy ensuring challenging annual targets are set and to fulfil the role of performance management reviewer if directed to do so by the principal.

Engage in annual training linked to child protection, safeguarding and health and safety together with all training deemed appropriate for the purpose of school improvement or performance management.

Always comply with the school s staff dress code including the wearing of photo ID / lanyard.

Always comply with the school s computer Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) Attend all staff briefings.

Sign out and sign in at relevant school reception if off site at any point during the normal working day.

Maintain food equipment and stock to ensure they are fit for purpose.

Prepare resources/equipment for lessons, under direction of the Head of Food and Nutrition.

Perform basic administration duties for the department.

Liaise with the leadership in the department to ensure support is matched to need.

Maintain the learning environment in the department.

Contribute to school ECA provision.

To undertake such other duties as may reasonably be determined by the leadership commensurate with pay and conditions.
