The Runner attends to customer needs, including greeting and serving food and beverages, to support customer satisfaction.
The role has no direct reports and interacts with customers and internal departments.
Key accountabilities
- Perform opening, changeover, and closing duties, including cleaning, replenishing condiments, polishing glassware and cutlery, and completing checklists.
- Keep service stations and assigned tables clean, sanitized, and fully stocked.
- Serve food and beverages and return dirty trays to the designated area for cleaning.
- Greet guests, take orders, refill drinks, and respond to guest needs accurately and promptly.
- Answer questions about ingredients, preparation, and allergens.
- Upsell items based on customer needs or manager requests.
- Monitor guests for additional needs and follow the required service sequence.
- Keep the immediate supervisor informed about significant problems or unusual matters.
- Assist the host with greeting, seating, presenting menus, and farewells.
- Assist the counter with bar stocking and beverage-order preparation.
- Check restroom and trash-bin cleanliness and coordinate with assigned cleaners.
- Maintain grooming and personal hygiene in line with company guidelines.
Qualifications and experience
- Minimum experience of two years in food service.
- Good English communication skills.
Pay
- Pay is AED 2,000 to AED 2,500 per month.
Workplace and employment
- Job type is full-time.
- Work location is in person in Dubai Hills.
