Role Description
The FLS Maintenance Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi.
The role covers ongoing operation, inspection, and maintenance of fire and life safety systems in residential and commercial buildings.
The position requires consistent on-site presence at client locations and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Duties
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fire alarm panels, emergency lighting, fire pumps, and related electrical components.
- Troubleshoot and repair system faults and conduct routine system tests.
- Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with local codes and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with facility management, clients, and other engineering teams.
- Review technical drawings and equipment manuals and support installation and commissioning when required.
- Manage PPM schedules and client coordination.
- Recommend improvements to system reliability and performance.
Qualifications
- Strong equipment maintenance and maintenance-and-repair skills for fire and life safety systems and associated building services.
- Applied maintenance engineering skills, including technical diagnosis and interpretation of engineering drawings.
- Preventive maintenance experience involving planning, scheduling, inspections, and system checks.
- Electrical maintenance experience with fire alarm systems, control panels, wiring, and power supply components.
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience with fire alarm, firefighting, and life safety systems in UAE residential or commercial facilities.
- Knowledge of safety codes, standards, regulatory requirements, and ADCD requirements.
- Ability to prepare maintenance reports, communicate with clients and teams, maintain PPM records, and negotiate new contracts.
