Sales Associates provide friendly service, assess customer needs, and guide customers to products and services for their projects.
The role emphasizes department and product knowledge, customer service, and solving customer needs.
Key responsibilities
- Greet, engage, and thank customers; seek them out, ask about their projects, and guide them to appropriate merchandise.
- Discuss product options, recommend related products and services, and educate customers about their projects.
- Promote available Home Depot services and use the empowerment program when needed to satisfy customers.
- Maintain clean, signed, and displayed products; build knowledge of products and services in the department and nearby departments.
- Follow safety and loss prevention policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of retail or trade experience is an asset.
- Physical duties include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items.
- Flexible schedule may include evenings and weekends.
Working conditions
- Work takes place in a warehouse environment that may be dusty and noisy, with drafts and interior temperature changes.
- No travel requirements.
Pay
- The stated pay range is $18.60–$19.60; the posting does not specify the pay period.
