At Travelodge, safety is paramount, and as a Fire Door Carpenter you'll join our efforts to maintain compliance with fire safety regulations, drive a positive safety culture, and implement effective risk management strategies.

What’s it all about?

As a Fire Door Carpenter you will be travelling nationwide week by week to different Travelodge hotels carrying out a variety of fire risk assessment related tasks, so you will need a clean Manual UK driving license.

This includes repairing/hanging fire doors, replacing different types of seals, checking and securing gaps around doors, loft boarding etc .

Making sure to comply with the requirements of Health and Safety and other relevant legislation along with Travelodge policies and procedures and complete any necessary paperwork. All of this is to ensure the safety of our colleagues and customers.

We believe in creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can be their true self and belong. We work hard to improve the diversity of our teams and celebrate our differences. And we care about our colleagues’ wellbeing, so we ensure there are plenty of resources available so everyone can look after their emotional, physical, financial and work wellbeing. We call this “Better Me”.

Who will this appeal to?

This role is perfect for someone who has a background in Fire safety or who is experienced in carpentry/joinery within a maintenance environment or property maintenance.

Someone who is dedicated to promoting safety and security in their work environments and communities, and who are eager to contribute to the implementation of effective fire safety protocols.

This role would also appeal to someone who enjoys identifying potential risks, and implementing practical solutions to mitigate those risks effectively.
