Responsibilities and Duties

  • · Review and reconcile billing, AR, WIP data to identify discrepancies, assess risk, and support collections
  • · Develop and implement collection strategies to improve cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables
  • · Communicate with clients regarding outstanding invoices, payment status, and billing inquiries
  • · Investigate and resolve billing issues, payment disputes, and account variances
  • · Monitor electronic billing submissions and prepare AR and collections reports
  • · Maintain accurate account records, collection notes, and follow-up activities
  • · Negotiate payment arrangements and escalate issues as needed in accordance with firm policies
  • · Collaborate with management and internal stakeholders to improve processes and support departmental initiatives
  • · Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • · Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience with college-level accounting coursework
  • · At least 3 years of collections experience in a professional services firm
  • · Experience with insurance carriers and knowledge of SIRs/deductibles strongly preferred
  • · Experience with BillBlast and Aderant highly preferred
  • · Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and excellent follow-through
  • · Strong analytical skills; intermediate Excel skills (V-Lookup, Pivot Tables) required
  • · Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with attorneys, staff, and clients
  • · Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage competing deadline
  • Expected Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000
  • Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific offer. Actual compensation will be determined based on market location, as well as the candidate’s experience, skills, and job-related qualifications. Base salary represents just one component of the comprehensive Total Rewards package offered by Kaufman Dolowich.
