Manage the branch financial control function and ensure appropriate controls are in place.
Ensure financial and regulatory reporting complies with IFRS, CBUAE regulations, and bank policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the branch financial control framework and ensure regulatory reporting compliance.
- Ensure reporting complies with IFRS, CB Prudential Regulations, Basel requirements, and CBUAE guidelines.
- Review periodic branch financial statements and provide data to external auditors.
- Realign system bookings to support UAE divisional-level reporting.
- Adhere to MIS policies and the compliance framework, including AML.
- Analyze budget and prior-year variances and report findings to branch and head-office management.
- Document approved processes and transfer key knowledge to finance team members.
- Publish MIS reports, ALCO reports, and management dashboards periodically.
- Provide performance reports and net profit forecasts.
- Perform monthly closing and consolidate financial results.
- Track payments, expenditures, invoices, reimbursements, and outstanding account balances.
- Coordinate with auditors and other departments on regulatory submissions, VAT filings, inspections, and audits.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or another subject or equivalent.
- At least three to four years of practical experience in a bank or the same or a similar function.
