Role overview

Location and working pattern

• The role is based in Nuneaton with hybrid working and an expectation of at least two office days per week.

Hours and contract

• Full-time role with 37.5 hours per week.
• Permanent contract.

What you'll do

• Own fixed asset accounting from capitalization through monthly reporting and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Review expenditure, assess Capex versus Opex treatment, and maintain the fixed asset register and supporting records.
• Partner with Finance Business Partners to investigate projects and challenge unclear or unusual postings.
• Prepare accurate ONS surveys and monitor work in progress to ensure timely capitalization.
• Support month-end reporting and provide internal and external audit trails.
• Simplify, standardize, and automate reporting processes.

What you'll bring

• Understanding of fixed asset accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and journals.
• Confidence working with larger Excel datasets and tracing transactions to the general ledger.
• A recognized finance/accounting qualification or currently working toward one.
• Capital expenditure review or fixed asset record experience is useful.
• Experience in retail, consumer, e-commerce, or another multi-site business is useful.
